Brief Summary:

CRM Software
The CRM solution is a .net 3.5 client/server CRM solution.

Client:  The Client is a Windows forms application with some Janus Controls.  The local database is SQL Server Compact 3.5 SP1.

Server:  The Server uses a SQL Server Express database.

Synchronization:  The clients synchronize with the server using Microsoft sync services and Windows Communication foundation.

Reporting: Devexpress XtraReports for windows forms & asp.net

Development Framework: CSLA, we want to get away from this.

Other: Visual Studio 2008

Objectives:

Performance: The software has performance issues.  When the number of records gets too large, the Client performs very poorly.  We want to create a CRM solution that is very fast in performance.

Smart Client: we want the client to be very smart leveraging clickonce, auto update, built to integrate with other applications leveraging web services...

Click Once: We want the software to install very efficiently with minimal complexity for the end user.

Auto Update: We want the client to auto update when new updates are available.

Microsoft Outlook Integration: We want a bi-directional sync of Contacts, Tasks and Calendar Items between CRM Software client db and Microsoft Outlook.

Reporting:  Must be re-designed

We encourage your suggestions on technology direction.  We would consider building the solution leveraging Windows Presentation Foundation.

We are looking for a long term partner to act as our primary development team.
