Brief Summary:

I am a indie label where I need a ecommerce flash player to sell media from my homepage, E360.ws.  I need this player to do multiple things:

-advance sort and filter features to find the right genre, style/mood, artist, album, media(film, music, lyrics, scripts) other presets that I can define as I go if needed.

-shopping cart integration with paypal/authorize.net without having to leave the site.  I will initially choose paypal but eventually may expand to a different merchant account to handle all credit card option. buy option per download or album.

-showcase each album, short artist bio, song titles, label, contact link.  I want to embed as much info as possible within one player.  So would just need more descriptive fields

-its both a audio/video player.  there are four main types of subpages that will work with the player to sort music, films/videos, scripts, lyrics.  This is meant for licensing of all such types of media.  I want a link button to add their selection on their favorite and send an email to request quote for licensing.

-Below the player on my home page, I want to have thumbnail visual artwork to select particular artist or album which is tied to the player to change information accordingly.

-admin panel to upload the content easily and make links to info needed and mp3 that is stored in my server.  I want the links embedded in the player to be very secure to prevent download my library from establishing the link
This entire script application will be embedded in my current site homepage.  So the entire file set and database applications will need to be transferred over to my hosting server account.  Also any CSS dynamic flash pages will need to stay within my homepage as I am keeping the my sitemap as is.  I would like a flash design concept for the embedded web template basically within my homepage first.
If I find the right developer that can make a cool new player to work well, then I will continue with you to keep developing my current site.  As my site overall is a large project requiring phase projects.
I attached a jpeg rough sketch of what the features I want but I need a well designed concept to showcase all of this.  It will have subpages flash to show various information.

Requirements Interview Answers:
To help you bid more accurately, the buyer was interviewed about the requirements for this bid request. Below are their answers. Untitled Page
Bid request Type: What kind of work do you need done?
Software related (Includes desktop applications and internet websites)
Bid request Parts: What do you want the worker to do on this bid request?
Requirements: The worker will analyze the problem and propose a software-based solution to the problem.
Programming: The worker will take the requirements and translate them into the language of the computer (and test it).
User installation: The installer will move the software from the place it was created (which is called the development or QC environment) to where you will use it (which is called the production environment). The installer then tests the software to make sure that the installation was done properly and completely.
Req. Doc. Type: What kind of documentation do you want for this bid request?
Formal documentation - After talking back and forth, the worker creates a formal document and/or prototype, as follows:
  • Prototype: The analyst will create a non-working mockup of all pages/screens in the final software. Creating a prototype makes it easier for the user to visualize the final software, and reduces misunderstandings.
Program Type: What kind of software should the worker create (and/or install)?
  • An internet web-site: This software runs on a web server and users will access it using their internet browser.
Internet web-site info
Design and functionality: What does the programming of this bid request involve?
  • Design: Create the layout of the pages (or modify the layout of existing pages).
  • Program Functionality: Making the website "work".
Modeling another site: Do you wish to model another site? No
Size of website: How many pages need to be created/edited in this website?
Approximately 1.
Programming Language: What programming language(s) do you want your website written in?
I don't know what language (and need the worker's assistance to suggest it).
Other info:mysql, flash, php, etc.
Database: Will this bid request include a database?
Yes, it does include a database.
Details:
  • MySQL -- version(s): latest
Browser Type(s)/Version(s): Which browser/version combinations must this website support?
  • IE 7.0
  • IE 6.0
  • Firefox 3.0
  • Safari 41
Server Hosting Environment: What is your server hosting environment?
I have a server at a 3rd party hosting company.
The name of the hosting company is: godaddy
The server's shared/dedicated status is: Shared with other people.

Component Compatibility Protection:
Sometimes a worker may create features on the website that rely on componentswhich work fine on their own server, but won't work with your 3rd party hosting company's server. There are many reasons for this including version incompatibility, restricted permissions, etc... Rent A Coder normally requires that the worker verify in advance that your 3rd party hosting provider will support the components.  If they do not, then they are responsible for any incompatibilities, rather than you. Do you want this protection on your bid request?
No, I will be responsible for any components of the final solution that do not work with my hosting company.
Server Hosting Environment: Will the worker develop "live" on your server?
No. The worker is responsible for creating their own development and/or qc environment.
Physical installation: Who will perform the physical installation?
I will perform the physical installation. The worker is only responsible for providing instructions and assistance regarding what I must do. I understand and agree that if the worker provides adequate instructions, but I am unable to follow them, then this is a valid reason for them to miss the final deadline without penalty (in arbitration).
Legal: 1) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
1b) No part of the deliverable may contain any copyright restricted 3rd party components (including GPL, GNU, Copyleft, etc.) unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the worker's Worker Legal Agreement.
Other Requirements:
  • Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business bid requests <$500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and worker agreements. Rent A Coder monitors all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressors on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation. If you notice a violation please help out the site and report it. Thanks for your help.
