Description:

Does anyone have URLs to a "Microsoft Oulook 2000"
add-on (or can create "Custom" software") that could
be used to do as follows ?
** Please post URLs or let me know
if you are writing the software
** Also, let me know what of the
below steps are NOT doable

1. user opens Outlook 2000
2. clicks "Spec Update"
3. email message automatically displays
** SUBJECT = Spec Update - ###
--> automatically gets next number from
text file or some type of control file
** BODY = Please review your attached spec and ....
4. user selects attachments
5. clicks "Send"
6. "Spec Update - ###" automatically
appears as a TASK item in Outlook
with attachments
7. one of the following happens
Option #1
a. supplier replies with signed
approval letter saying spec is OK
b. user deletes "Spec Update - ###"
from their Outlook TASK screen
Option #2
a. supplier replies with a
list of needed revisions
b. user makes changes and clicks "Send"
c. related Outlook TASK automatically
gets updated with new MESSAGE body,
send time, and attachments
Option #3
a. supplier does not reply
b. Outlook automatically sends 1st
"reminder" email after 7 days
---> how would Outlook know
they did not reply ?
---> related Outlook TASK automatically
gets updated with new MESSAGE body,
send time, and attachments
c. Outlook automatically sends 2nd
"reminder" email after 14 days
---> related Outlook TASK automatically
gets updated with new MESSAGE body,
send time, and attachments
d. Outlook sends "reminder" email to
user after 21 days saying they
need to manually address this issue
