Description: I'm looking to create a simple text reader that will look up chinese characters on click/tap. This is to eventually be used on mobile and desktop platforms so light and fast is a requirement. The dictionary engine will be the open source CEDICT. (http://www.mdbg.net/chindict/chindict.php?page=cc-cedict) The definitions are to appear in a dedicated space at the bottom of the page (not in a pop-up form). Especially important is the ability to recognize compounds of characters (two or more characters that form a word). |
