Brief Summary:

Port of Python + Qt GUI applications from version 3 to version 4

We have a windows applications written in Python 2.4 and using the Qt C++ graphical toolkit for GUI components (version 3.3.4). PyQt is used for the bindings between python and Qt.

We need this to be ported to the latest version QT 4 and PyQT. There are around 200 files python files in the project with 20,000 lines of source (some are automatically generated). The programmer should be expert in python and C++ and ideally have experience of Qt. I estimate that a programmer should take 4 to 8 weeks depending upon skills and experience.

It is a stand-alone application that reads several .ini and .csv configurations files. The dialogs in this application edit the data and writes the configuration files on exit. Hence you can validate the application by ensuring the configuration files are consistent and they can be read by the existing application. This project should make no changes to the application GUI.

The application is the main configuration tool of our product (www.facilita.co.uk). I can supply an evaluation version of the product to shortlisted bidders.

Here are two videos that show the application in use.
