Brief Summary:

Digital Retina Imaging Blood Vessel Analysis Module.

Project goal:  Create  software to find Intersections where the Dark Veins are UNDER the lighter arteries and at which the veins are Pinched and forming a particular geometric pattern we call Nicking. The nicking will be quantified by a programmer devised formula which will measure changes in vessel diameter and other patterns formed by the vessel crossings

We will also analyze crossings where the veins are over the arteries and this will form a different pattern for detection and quantification.

At this time,  we anticipate seeking the detection of 4 distinct blood vessel patterns and their quantifications (at these crossings).

The project will include the creation of a database for storage and retrieval of this data.

If you feel that you are qualified to participate in this project,  please share with us a brief summary of how you propose to do this work and any similar work you might have done.  A very detailed project summary is included with this bid as PDF file that you may download

Thank you

Requirements Interview Answers:
To help you bid more accurately, the buyer was interviewed about the requirements for this bid request. Below are their answers. Untitled Page
Bid request Type: What kind of work do you need done?
Software related (Includes desktop applications and internet websites)
Bid request Parts: What do you want the worker to do on this bid request?
Requirements: The worker will analyze the problem and propose a software-based solution to the problem.
Programming: The worker will take the requirements and translate them into the language of the computer (and test it).
Req. Doc. Type: What kind of documentation do you want for this bid request?
Formal documentation - After talking back and forth, the worker creates a formal document and/or prototype, as follows:
  • Prototype: The analyst will create a non-working mockup of all pages/screens in the final software. Creating a prototype makes it easier for the user to visualize the final software, and reduces misunderstandings.
  • Requirements Document: The analyst will create a document describing everything the final software will do (other than what is documented in the prototype...if the buyer required one).
Program Type: What kind of software should the worker create (and/or install)?
  • A desktop or server program: This software runs on a user's own PC/workstation, or on a server.
Desktop / server program info
Size of application: How many screens/forms need to be created/edited in this application?
Approximately 2.
Programming Language: What programming language(s) do you want your application written in?
I don't know what language (and need the worker's assistance to suggest it).
Other info:This is to be a Module installed in our current program. The current program is written in VB 6.0.

The programmer may use any language as long as the result is a component that can be installed in the current program,  such as an activeX component.

We would prefer VB but that is not required (as it is likely too slow for this process).
Operating system(s) What operating systems(s) do you want your application to work on?
I do know the operating system(s):
  • Microsoft Windows -- version(s): XP and above
  • Database: Will this bid request include a database?
Yes, it does include a database.
    Details:
    • Microsoft Access -- version(s): open to discussion
Legal: 1) I require complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done (so that I may modify it in the future).
    2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
2a) If there are any server-side deliverables (intended to only exist in one place in the Buyer's environment) then they must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition (unless specified elsewhere by the Buyer).
2b) This is a component and will not need an installer.  However all components must be able to integerate into the VB environment we are using.  This can be as an activeX component or similar.
    3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
3b) No part of the deliverable may contain any copyright restricted 3rd party components (including GPL, GNU, Copyleft, etc.) unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the seller's Seller Legal Agreement.
    4) All code must have english language text within each routine explaining what the codes does as well as Error checking/reporting.

    Other Requirements:
Once we choose a coder,  we will begin a dialog of establishing the details of the coding objectives.   A  PDF file is attached with some samples of what we want analyzed as well as some graphic demos.

    • All deliverables must be uploaded to Rent A Coder before the deadline(s) for this bid request...with no exceptions. If this contract makes it impossible for a competent person to do this, then do not start this bid request...but instead alert Rent A Coder of an un-arbitratable, illegal bid request.
    • Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business bid requests <$500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and worker agreements. Rent A Coder monitors all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressors on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation. If you notice a violation please help out the site and report it. Thanks for your help.
